INCLEMENT  WEATHER  POLICY

When Frederick County Schools are delayed or canceled due to inclement weather, the rink will open 2 hours late.  ALL AFTERNOON & EVENING events will be held as scheduled unless otherwise noted.

If Skate Frederick closes early, notification will be posted on website (www.skatefrederick.com) and

 rink phone message.

All attempts will be made via e-mail  for those who have current addresses on file.

Ice Hockey at Skate Frederick is fun and exciting. From clinics and summer Camps, to our spring in-house and learn to play programs, we offer year round training.

Under the direction of  Hockey Director, Jon Weetman, Assistant Director, Patrick St. Clair, and a team of qualified coaches and instructors, players learn the technique and skills to succeed. Sportsmanship, discipline, the development of individual and team skills and the overall enjoyment of playing are emphasized.

.During the summer months, Skate Frederick brings in a team of dedicated professionals with NHL and Olympic experience to work with our athletes. We offer a range of training experiences designed to fit the needs of the individual player. Go to our camps link to find out more.

Many area high schools have hockey clubs that play and train at Skate Frederick. For a list of clubs and contacts, click on high school team

We have a host of opportunities to learn the game of ice hockey or join an existing club. For the beginner adult, we offer on-going instructional clinics.
